Transfers

Armory 219 has two convenient locations in Valparaiso and Merrillville. 

Valparaiso transfer fees: 

Handguns $40

Long guns $40

Other $65

NFA $150

Merrillville transfer fees:

Handguns $65

Long guns $65

Other $65

NFA $150

Armory 219 does not charge transfer fees for firearms purchased from us.

Due to federal and state regulated record keeping requirements, firearms received for transfer may take up to 2 business days before the they are ready for the background check process. Calling to check the status only serves to further delay the receiving process. We will contact you when the firearms are ready.

Be prepared when you come in with a valid state issued photo ID that displays your current address. 

Individuals shipping firearms to us must include a photocopy of their driver’s license or State issued ID.. Firearms will only be transferred to the recipient named on the invoice included with the firearm.  

Each firearm will incur a $5 per day storage fee if you do not come in to complete the 4473 background check beginning 14 days after Armory 219 LLC has made an attempt to notify you that we have received the item, unless prior arrangements have been made.   

Delays: Each firearm will incur a $5 per day storage fee if not picked up beginning 14 days after Armory 219 LLC has made an attempt to notify you that your background check has been approved or exceeded the Brady transfer date and is available for pickup, unless prior arrangements have been made.  

Firearms not accepted by the transferee or denied for any reason will not be transferred to anyone else. The firearm/s must be returned to the seller/sender.  A shipping waiver must be signed before Armory 219 LLC will release any shipment for return.  Shipping fee/s to be determined by firearm size and weight. 

Firearms are considered abandoned once the storage fees exceed the value of the firearm or 90 days, whichever comes first.  

NFA transfers to trusts or other legal entities will incur additional fees due to the complexity of the submission process.
